Support AWARE

AWARE needs your support to give women the place they deserve in the history of art and bring visibility to women artists.

If you would like to support AWARE, a public-interest/non-profit organisation, your contribution will be eligible for tax reduction/deduction.

4 ways of supporting us

Corporate sponsorship

Corporate sponsors will have their logo featured in standard size on the AWARE website, starting from a $15,000 donation. For a donation of $50,000 or more, a larger size logo and name will be featured on the AWARE website landing page and will be also linked to a specific program (if applicable) on all AWARE platforms and documents.

For European-based corporate donors, any corporate sponsorship will entitle you to a 60% tax reduction within the limit of 5 per mill of the turnover. Any excess donations can be carried forward the following years.

For US-based corporate donors, any corporate sponsorship through AWARE-USA will be tax deductible to the extent permissible by law. AWARE-USA is an independent 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization based in New York City.

Individual donations

Help keep our actions alive throughout the year! Every contribution counts towards keeping AWARE’s database and programs free and growing, so please consider a one-time $250 gift in celebration of AWARE’s 10th Anniversary/2024.

Supporter Benefits

Supporters of AWARE who contribute at the following levels are invited to enjoy the respective exclusive opportunities and benefits:

  • $500-999: MEMBER – an AWARE publication/book in English or French and free attendance at one online lecture by AWARE’s co-founder Camille Morineau [the donation will support the acquisition of books and publications for AWARE’s library and documentation center – a leading venue for research on women artists, freely accessible to the public]
  • $1,000-2,499: PARTNER – the above listed benefits as well as a private tour of AWARE’s library and documentation center at Villa Vassilieff in Paris OR invitation to a private viewing of a museum exhibition, led by AWARE’s team, during leading international art fairs and fair-related special programs [the donation will support a digital bilingual publication on the AWARE website of an introductory article on a specific theme or artistic movement]
  • $2,500—4,999: SPONSOR – the above listed benefits as well as free attendance at a second online lecture OR a private visit to an artist studio or gallery in France or internationally [the donation will support the digital publication of the biography of one artist, to be added to the 1,100+ artists already published on AWARE’s bi-lingual website OR a research article on a specific topic]
  • $5,000-9,999: PATRON –the above listed benefits as well as a private lunch hosted by AWARE’s Co-founder Camille Morineau 1 OR invitation to an AWARE artist performance at Villa Vassilieff in Paris; all Patrons who donate to AWARE books will also be mentioned in the acknowledgements and in the press kit for the book upon its publication, and will receive an invitation to the book launch [the donation will support the publication of an AWARE book, OR fund an event at the Villa Vassilieff (roundtables, artist talks, artist performances, etc.)]

 1At a mutually convenient and agreed time and venue

  • $10,000+: FOUNDERS’ CIRCLE – the above listed benefits as well as invitations to exclusive events such as behind-the-scenes museum or art fair visits, tours of private art collections, or dynamic meetings with artists, led personally by Camille Morineau [the donation will support the publication of 5 artist biographies OR the expansion of the TEAM network, an international network of university professors and their students, including residencies at Villa Vassilieff]

 

Recurring supporters, who have given $2,500+ in the past calendar year will be invited to the full annual cycle of exclusive online lectures given by Camille Morineau, Co-founder of AWARE.

 

Dates of the exclusive online lectures on 20th century art history given by Camille Morineau, for donors at the Member level and above:

10 April 2024 at 12pm EDT/9am PDT – Reframing American Art: Great American women artists of the 20th century

15 May 2024 at 12pm EDT/9am PDT – The transatlantic imaginary of the Harlem Renaissance: African-American women artists in Paris and New York in the first half of the 20th century

19 June 2024 at 12pm EDT/9am PDT – Beyond Frida Kahlo: 20thcentury LatinX women artists

For European-based donors, the rate of tax reduction is 66% of the sum donated, up to an annual limit of 20% of taxable income.

For UK-based donors, UK based donors can support AWARE’s activities in a tax-efficient way through a contribution via Transnational Giving Europe and their UK partner foundation – the Charities Aid Foundation.
