AWARE’s research centre at the Villa Vassilieff houses a collection of over 3,800 publications dedicated to women and non-binary artists, feminist and queer history and theory, from the 16th century to the present.
The types of publications are varied: solo and group exhibition catalogues, monographs, essays, research papers, reviews and books for young readers.
The collection is enriched by donations, acquisitions, and book exchanges. Information on donations and collections is available upon request.
The research centre is open to anyone wishing to consult books by appointment only, at [email protected].
To help you prepare for your visit, you can specify research topics, as well as a list of the publications you wish to consult.
