AWARE and the Nest collective, currently in residence at the Villa Vassilieff’s Research Center for 2025, are pleased to welcome you to the second in a series of events exploring themes of parenthood, home, and exile, on Thursday, December 18. This will be an opportunity to meet and conclude the year, looking back on the explorations carried out throughout this period.
For the end of their residency , and for the transition that AWARE is currently undergoing, the collective wanted to address the themes of departure and separation through the idea of bojagi, a traditional Korean cloth used to wrap, carry, or gift objects. The gesture of wrapping also suggests care, protection, and encounter, as well as the potential for good fortune.
This hybrid event will begin with a workshop during which participants can create their own bojagi. It will then be followed by performances and readings by members of the collective, before concluding with a shared buffet to celebrate the end of their residency together.
