“Tremble, tremble! The witches are back” chanted Italian feminists in the 1970s. The acuteness of Doris Stauffer’s work is revealed by the great attention paid today by some artists, activists and academics to the topics discussed in the exhibition devoted to her at the Centre culturel suisse, such as equality in the labour market, women in politics or in the art world, reveals its acuteness. The Centre culturel suisse, in partnership with AWARE, offers a series of events, conferences, round tables, workshops and a Wikipedia edit-a-thon to put Doris Stauffer’s thinking in an international and contemporary context.
