On the occasion of Season Africa2020 (December 2020–July 2021), AWARE was part of the “Women Focus ” as envisaged by the General Commissioner N’Goné Fall.
24 new biographies of women artists from Africa and the Diaspora –identified by AWARE’s Africa2020 research committee– as well as 3 research articles were published on the AWARE website.
Following the seminar which took place in November 2020, AWARE hosted the symposium “Reclaim: Narratives of African Women Artists,” from the 15th to the 16th of April 2021 in partnership with the École du Louvre.
